Cleeve court nursing home newsletter August 2011
Hi All
This is to say a huge thank you to everyone for all their support for the Garden Party which was a great success again this year raising £364.00 in total and the few pence!! The weather was kind to us and the creams teas went down a treat!!
The aim is to spend this money on further outings and new equipment for all the residents to enjoy. Any suggestions greatly appreciated, Patricia our activities coordinator will be happy to have any of your suggestions.
As many of you know the home is equipped with laptops for all the residents and families to use, if you require an email address for use at Cleeve please see Alison.
The last trip in July to Weston and the pier was a great success and thoroughly enjoyed by all, again the sun decided to shine just at the right moment.
The next trip is to Clevedon pier for the afternoon on 18th August as we have the use of the lion’s club mini bus this time. We will leave at 2pm and return by 5pm and hopefully enjoy tea if not on the pier very near by.
The volunteers are all doing well helping with activities if anyone else is interested or knows someone then all help will be greatly appreciated.
The summer is upon us and the weather has been reasonably kind allowing the residents to enjoy the outdoors. We have purchased a new garden umbrella and this will be set soon in the garden, just waiting for maintenance men input so should be ready for next week.
As many of you will know Fran has retired due the ill health and we miss her greatly for her chatty, happy and friendly nature. We aim to have an afternoon tea this month as a leaving do, date to be confirmed.
Finally just to say again a huge thank you all your support throughout the year which is greatly appreciated by all.
